High Throughput Materials and Device Optimisation for Photovoltaic Devices

The high throughput synthetic methodology is being applied to the synthesis of sulphur based doped CIGS materials in a study to optimise the performance and stability of the active material in thin film photovoltaic devices. Primary screens involve structural characterisation and optical determination of the band-gap, and arrays of 100 photovoltaic devices are fabricated in order to evaluate the efficiency of material combinations at the device level.
